Since 2000, Ontario Genomics has partnered with researchers, visionaries and industry leaders on hundreds of exciting and awe-inspiring projects in health, food and agriculture and cleantech to make this province a better place to live, work and thrive.
25 years later, we are celebrating all of the incredible accomplishments and ground-breaking innovations that have come to life. Learn more about these projects and how we’re celebrating.
On June 18, we held a gala to reminisce about all the incredible progress that has happened over the last 25 years and to look ahead to the new heights Ontario can reach with the help of biotechnology. 300 industry leaders, academics, investors and founders came together to celebrate our collective success. From robot photobooths to the heartfelt on-stage programming, this was a night to remember.
Our host for the night, Jeremie Saunders, almost moved the audience to tears with his personal story about living with cystic fibrosis and the tremendous impact genomics has had on his life.
We were also joined by Hon. Nolan Quinn, Minister of Colleges, Universities and Research Excellence and Security, who shared a few words on stage.
