Maggie Blood joined the team in 2023 to help spread the word about all the fascinating projects Ontario Genomics has, is and will be working on, including the BioCreate Program.

After spending over a decade in radio news broadcasting in eastern Ontario and Toronto, Maggie applied those writing, research, relationship building and communications skills during a brief stint working behind the scenes in municipal politics before running the media relations operations at the Ontario Dental Association for nearly seven years.

Maggie earned her radio broadcast diploma from Humber College and has been taking Indigenous studies courses at the University of Alberta and University of Toronto in her spare time.
