Paula Rochon

Dr. Paula Rochon is a geriatrician and Director of Research at the Weston and O’Born Centre for Mature Women’s Health at Sinai Health. She is the inaugural Barry J. Goldlist Chair in Aging and Health, a Senior Clinician Scientist at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, and a Senior Scientist at ICES. She is also a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine, and School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on improving health and health systems for older adults, particularly women as they age, and advancing evidence-informed, inclusive care and policy in Canada and beyond.

Dr. Rochon holds federally funded research grants and has published more than 400 research articles. Her research has helped shape how health systems address the unique health needs of older adults and women. She has served as Chair of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Aging Advisory Board and is Deputy Editor of the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and the Canadian Geriatrics Society.

Dr. Rochon previously served as Vice President of Research at Women’s College Hospital for 12 years and was the founding Director of the Women’s Age Lab. She also held the RTOERO Chair in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto for 10 years.
