Ontario Genomics is championing the potential of genomics-based solutions across health, food and agriculture, and cleantech sectors. We are engaging Ontario politicians from all parties to highlight the transformative impact these innovations can have. Our efforts focus on securing long-term funding to ensure that innovative researchers and small businesses have the financial support, expertise, and connections they need to revolutionize the ways we heal, eat, create, and grow.

We are grateful for the ongoing support from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, and are actively collaborating with other government ministries to amplify awareness of the tremendous economic and societal benefits of genomics. By demonstrating how this cutting-edge science drives job creation, promotes women in STEM, protects our environment, and strengthens our economy, we aim to build a coalition of support that will help Ontario Genomics, and our broader community, reach new heights.

In February of this year, at Genomics in the Park, we were joined by legislators from every corner of the province and across ministries to showcase how genomics and biotechnology are rapidly transforming our economy through incredible, homegrown innovation by creating jobs and providing remarkable solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems.
