Omar Serrato joined Ontario Genomics in October 2022. He is responsible for supporting program management operations.

Prior to this role, Omar worked as a manufacturing technician at Microbix Biosystems Inc. During this engagement, he supported operations leading to the manufacturing of viral antigens and related materials for vaccine production and research.

Omar has also worked in educational publishing, with experience as an editor, and later, project manager at an educational media firm focused on the university-level science media space.

Omar received an Honours B.Sc. in Life Sciences from the University of Toronto, taking programs in Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science.
