December 10, 2010 - GCB Workshop – Biomarker Discovery for Protein Folding Disease with a Focus on Cystic Fibrosis
- Misfolded proteins are involved in many human diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, Cystic Fibrosis, and cancer. Due to the enormous impact of misfolded proteins on human health, it is critical that the determinants and consequences of the misfolding trigger(s) and pathways be defined, and molecular targets for pharmacological intervention identified. The overall goal of this meeting is to initiate new collaborations and enhance existing interactions amongst researchers at the Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto.
