How the Life Science Job Market has changed... what to do about it, and the launch of National Biotech Week in Ontario

On September 16, the Ontario Genomics Institute, Life Sciences Ontario and MaRS Discovery District in conjunction with TBI’s monthly breakfast series launched National Biotechology Week.

The theme for the launch and breakfast was:  'From Genomics To Jobs: A Look at the Ontario Bioeconomy in the 2nd Decade of the Millenium.' The event, which was attended by around 80 people from the life sciences sector and academia, officially launched National Biotechnology Week in Ontario and provided a forum for attendees to learn about Genomics, biotechnology and jobs in the Ontario life science sector. Several experts in the field of genomics, human resources and research commercialization gave speeches.  

The Honourable Glen Murray, Minister of Research and Innovation, provided opening remarks.
