Description
The Centre for Applied Genomics at The Hospital for Sick Children is seeking a qualified Group Leader to join the TCAG bioinformatics team. The successful candidate will join an existing team of approximately ten bioinformaticians, in a leadership role. This group is anticipated to expand in size dramatically over the next year. The position will require leadership of this group, including but not limited to prioritization of resources and time, high-level oversight of multiple ongoing projects, interaction with the high performance computing group at The Hospital for Sick Children including making recommendations for new technologies and ensuring their timely implementation, strategic planning of resources and identification of alternative approaches (e.g. the use of outside high performance computing if and where possible), and scientific overview of all activities of the group. This position reports directly to the Scientific Director of The Centre for Applied Genomics.
